Creating backgrounds are a snap. You can use an embossing folder like the Pinewood Planks pictured in the picture frame. Another way is to use a background stamp such as this new item, Crackle Paint stamp in the occasions catalog. It gives any card or 3-D item such as the wood crate (annual catalog) a rustic feel.
