Do you have lots of ribbon laying around? Trying to use it all can be a challenge. Come the Christmas season can be a way to use up those ribbons. You may ask how? Easy, make gift bows!

Here I used the Striped Burlap Trim for my bow. 

This gives any present an "Old Country Christmas" feel to it. 

Use it on a paper bag, wrap a gift in plain brown paper or a plain paper box and then add a bow!

12 Days of Christmas- Day 3 Christmas in Pink Plaid

 I was challenged to create a card in non-traditional colors. I chose to go with melon mambo and I think it turned out quite nicely.

12 Days of Christmas- Day 2 Happy Christmas Wishes

My lighting was not the best but I thought this set was fitting to be on my kitchen table. I have a retro kitchen table with an enamel top. Unfortunately I only have one chair left that goes with the table.

 Each month our leader challenges us to create a card with some elements she sends us. At first I struggled with this. I kept thinking what color to color the truck. I felt Real Red would over empower it and Cherry Cobbler would blend to much with it. The other side of the dsp was green and I still could not figure what to do. So I decided I would lay out where I wanted each piece to placed on the card. After looking at it, it hit me...leave it as is. Yep I decided not to do any coloring and I love how it turned out! I added some galvanized behind the Happy Christmas Wishes sentiment and then added some shimmery frost paste to the tree.

                                            Here is a close up of the frost on the tree.

12 Days of Christmas-Day 1 Be Merry Banner

I love when I get inspired by another piece of work. I was at Big Lots and came across this sign. I knew I had to make a banner. 

Did you notice the bag in the background. Does it look like one of our stamp sets? I love how Stampin' Up! is in with the upcoming fashion!

I found a pennant on the internet from www.fairytales.com that worked perfectly for my banner. I cut them out of galvanized cardstock and fold the ends over. I then placed each one over the Striped Burlap ribbon and adhered them with the galvanized clips.

I then took some Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then I stamped it with the Buffalo Check stamp in Tuxedo Black. I then cut out the word "Be Merry" with the large letter framelits. I then adhered them to the pennant with dimensionals.
