More Candlelight Christmas fabric creation

When I get a block with my card making I resort to sewing. My latest sewing project is a tote bag. I found a tutorial by Shabby Fabrics  and it is a free download pattern. The tote bag is called "Fat Quarter Tote." Stampin' Up!'s fat quarter are a little larger than a normal fat quarter, but I was able to adapt to it.

Here is my tote bag and I loved how it turned out :) It even holds my 12 x 12 DSP.

Rustic Ornaments with a Stampin' Up! flair

I had some of the Candlelight Christmas fabric left over and thought they had a rustic feel to them so I made some ornaments. The first is quite easy. Just wrap the fabric around a 3" foam ball and tie a piece of jute around and then add a jute hanger with hot glue and your done. The other one, I took a ribbon spool to make the ornament. I cut the fabric into 1" wide and 4" long strips and tied them to the spool. When I was done I trimmed up the long ends to be more uniform and added a jute hanger to it also. Isn't it gorgeous! I am going to have to buy some more if I can find it.

Making the OLD into the NEW

Before I became an Demonstrator, Stampin' Up! had a fabric line. While looking for fabric on Ebay I came across their fabric and I immediately fell in love with it. Of course I had to buy some. I first bought SPICE CAKE. I made a vendor show apron.

I have an old sewing basket and I decided it needed a face lift. I went looking again and found this fabric from Stampin' Up!

CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS

I took this...

 and turned it into this!

Craft Show Apron

I am getting things ready for a craft fair this fall and I needed an apron that would hold my essentials. I decided the best place to look is pinterest. There was so many to choose from. I found one that I felt would fit my needs. I chose this one from Crafty Staci. I liked that it had many pockets. One pocket is for your cell phone, one for you pen and pad and even a business card pocket. The zippered pocket is for your cash and the other pockets for what ever else you may need. It even has a holder for your keys. She has a free pattern and if you are not a person who likes to sew she even sells them.
My next item was what fabric to use. Since I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I did a search if they had ever had fabric. I found that they did!!

I chose Spice Cake. Brown tones are my favorite and I love how these went together.

Here is my finished apron. It had been awhile since I last sewed but thought it turned out nicely.

unfortunately these are retired and I found them on Ebay mine is made with the spice cake.
Here is a list of the fabric I have found.
