Ornament #3

This ornament is a past favorite. It was featured on the front of the 2012 Holiday catalog.

Even though this set is retired, I still love to make these ornaments for the holidays.

The picture does not do this ornament justice, it is much prettier than it looks.

I used Granny Apple Green and Gray Granite for the 3-D ornaments. Added some white sparkle tulle and then the Gray Granite ribbon. The center is just 3 palm leaves and a hibiscus flower with a glitter enamel dot. I used the crop a dile to punch the hole to add a gold cord for the hanger. 

 The back side I used the pearlized doilies.

 I made a box following Frenchie's Stamps video. I lined the inside of the box with dsp from the Tropical Chic.

 Finally I made a gift tag to go with it. Doesn't it look gorgoues in the box?

Ornament #2 Tropical Scraps

Here is a way to use left over scraps of dsp. Curl them by using a bone folder or pencil and then slip inside the ornament. I even added some die cuts and a few other embellishments.

 I found some hibiscus flower table scatter at the Dollar Store and I added them to the ornament.

 Doesn't the dsp look great in this ornament?

 Can you see the diecuts that I added? This will great on any Tropical Christmas tree.

Luau Day 22- Ornament #1 Day at the Beach

Day at the beach ornament

When you spend the day at the beach, grab some sand, seashells, sea glass and some stones. When you get home from your tropical vacation, take all of these items and put then in a ornament to memento your trip. This is a plastic ornament that you can get in any craft store. I wrapped a piece of Granny Apple Green ribbon around and then add a few embellishments

on top. The hanger is made with the linen thread.

This is something you will always remember.
