Merry Monday Challenge #270 (Christmas Tic-Tac-Toe) & other challenges

I saw this beautiful tag from Connie Babbert from INKspiredtreasures.com and I fell in love with it. So I decided I would put my spin on it for a card.
Here is her tag:

The challenge over at Merry Monday is just perfect for the card I wanted to create. Kelly's challenge involved picking three items from the Tic-Tac-Toe she posted:

I chose to go with Stamping-Die Cut-Red for my card. I used Whisper White as the base and ran it through the big shot using the Quilt Top embossing folder. I then took some glimmer paper and made a banner to go vertical on the card. I then added a piece of gold glimmer paper the same way and adhered it over the glimmer paper. I then die cut the Quilt star from Cherry Cobbler and adhered it with dimensionals. I then stamped Garden Green with the single stitched X and then altering it with Lemon-Lime Twist and fussy cut it out. I adhered it with a dimensional also. I finally added a rhinestone to the middle of it. I loved how it turned out! I hope you do to.
Here is my card:

I love this set and it is said it is not being carried over. If you want this hurry while supplies last. Come January 2nd this will be no more. If you do not have a demonstrator I would love to be yours!
Just go to the shop with me on the right side bar and be sure my name is on the page when you place your order.
Have a great evening!

I am at a Craft Fair today!

Today I am at a craft fair, I will post pics of it later on, until then I have scheduled for you today the door prize for my craft fair. I will draw the name of the winner on December 5th, because on December 4th I will be at my final craft fair for the year. Here in Ohio, majority of the people are Buckeye fans (I and my husband root for the team up north, Go Blue!!). Now our families on both sides are 90% BUCKEYES! As you can see we are always out numbered.

So in honor of my buckeye fans I have created an exclusive set of 8 Christmas greetings using the Quilted Christmas and Hang Your Stockings, using the mini tinsel, Stitched felt embellishments and rhinestones. I used Real Red and Smoky Slate for a lot of the card bases. I used some silver foil on a few, some glimmer paper in silver and dazzling diamonds. The card in the right hand corner in garden green has the embossing folder Quilt top. Insides are left blank for you to write in your name, quote or what ever you want.
How would you like to win this set of cards?
All you have to do is fill out the survey and email it to me
and on December 5th I will have the wheel picker pick the winner!

Stick Horse

I remember one year all of us grand kids got stick horses for Christmas. It was so much fun, us galloping around playing cowboys and indians or rounding up the cattle ( I was as always one of the cows) luckily no one was good at lassoing lol!!

I thought I would put to work the Christmas Stockings Thinlits (pg. 215 of Annual Catalog).
First I cut two stockings out. One out of card stock using the die that has the snowflake and the other from Glimmer Paper from the solid stocking die. I adhere the card stock over the glimmer paper with tombow liquid glue. Then I cut three pieces of ribbon from the Quilted Christmas Ribbon (pg. 5 of Holiday Catalog) 1 3/4", 4 1/2" and  5 1/2". I wrapped the 5 1/2" around a candy stick and cut of any excess. I then took the 1 3/4" and wrapped around nose of stocking. The 4 1/2" I used for the reins.I cut a piece of card stock into a shape of an ear and glued it in place. I added some pearls for the nostrils and eye. For the Card base I used Real Red cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". I cut a piece of  Quilted Christmas DSP at 3" x 3". Adhered it to card front and then ran it through the big shot using the Quilt Top embossing folder. I added dimensionals to the back of the horse and attached it to card front. Finally I added a sentiment from the Hang Your Stockings stamp set ( pg 121 of Annual Catalog) and punched it out . I used Garden Green and attached to card front.
I just think this is adorable!

Craft Show Apron

I am getting things ready for a craft fair this fall and I needed an apron that would hold my essentials. I decided the best place to look is pinterest. There was so many to choose from. I found one that I felt would fit my needs. I chose this one from Crafty Staci. I liked that it had many pockets. One pocket is for your cell phone, one for you pen and pad and even a business card pocket. The zippered pocket is for your cash and the other pockets for what ever else you may need. It even has a holder for your keys. She has a free pattern and if you are not a person who likes to sew she even sells them.
My next item was what fabric to use. Since I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I did a search if they had ever had fabric. I found that they did!!

I chose Spice Cake. Brown tones are my favorite and I love how these went together.

Here is my finished apron. It had been awhile since I last sewed but thought it turned out nicely.

unfortunately these are retired and I found them on Ebay mine is made with the spice cake.
Here is a list of the fabric I have found.
