We lost a treasure yesterday:(

Sorry to be posting late, but I will continue my last 2 of 12 days of Christmas next week. Yesterday our family lost a treasure, my mother-in-law. She was 87. She was so full of life, she was a go-getter, she was up at 6 am each day, reading, crocheting, taking her dogs for walks, planning all the holiday meals. It saddens us that she had to leave but she was tired and missing her husband, brothers and sister and her parents. We knew it would not be long. She turned 87 on October 30 and from there she went down hill. Her heart no longer could last.

Please say a prayer for my husband and his family.

Thank you,
Donna Schnees

A great Christmas!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Our family had a good one unfortunately my mother-in-law's eldest dog "Maggie" did not make it to see Christmas. Our vet did his best to try and get her to make it through the holiday but told us he did not think she would make it. So, Christmas day was not the best for her.

This is why my Christmas post is late this year. Again I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

Cookouts, family and fireworks

I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday. We enjoyed a great evening at my parents house for the annual 4th of July fish fry. My dad and his Uncle Ron fried up about 40-50 pounds of fish that they had been catching. My one cousins family has been coming to our fish fry from Michigan, we enjoy their company and God be willing they will be back next year. There was over 30 to 40 family members and some came we had not seen for several years. It was great to see everyone having a great time. God Bless the USA for a wonderful day!

4th of July and Poison Ivy

I hope everyone had a great holiday. On the fourth at my mother in laws we had a great cookout with the family. On the fifth we went to my parents for the annual fish fry and fireworks. Great time also. After all this...woke up with poison ivy all over my arms and chest. Now feeling miserable. Trip to the doc for shots and meds.

My brothers wedding

I am working on a scrapbook of my brothers wedding. In a earlier post you saw the paint can I made for them for their gift. I have taken out the names and covered their faces for protection. I used the Hannah Montana cart for the words. Pop Princess for the first letter of each word and just the shadow feature for each letter behind them and the frame for their names. Assorted ribbons and prima flowers. The Wedding cart for the basket, rings, tux, gown and crown and the cardstock is DCWV The Luxury stack. As I get more done, I will post more pics.
Thanks for checking out my blog:)

Pink Journey Christmas ornament

Thanks to Christmas with the Cricut for this inspiration. They used vinyl on their ornaments. I am using a double sided sticky adhesive.

This is an ornament I made with the Pink Journey cart for my mother. She is a breast cancer survivor. What I used to create the ornament:
Future floor wax
Coral Crystals glitter from Stampin up
Wonderfilm from PKGlitz
clear ornament from Joann's
White flocking from Stampendous

First I poured in a little bit of future floor wax and rolled it around inside the bulb. I then poured out the excess. Used about three small scoops of the glitter to pour inside the ornament. Used a paper funnel to put it in (so I would not spill the glitter). Rolled the glitter around and lightly tapped out any excess glitter. Next I cut out the two ribbon images from the wonderfilm ( sorry do not remember what size). Applied the images to the front and back. Then I removed the cover off the first ribbon and applied flocking to it. Repeated for other side. I made several others using the A Child's Year cart and gave them to the girls I work with as Christmas gifts.

Pink Journey Christmas paint can

This paint can I made for my mother. She is a breast cancer srurvivor. I used the Pink Journey cart for the ribbons, the Christmas cart for the angels and design studio to weld the ribbon into the angels and snowflakes. The Merry Christmas is from Joys of the Season cart. I do not remember what breast cancer paper pack I used for the can.

Window pane for my Mother

This is a window I made for my Mother one year for Christmas. I took our baby pictures and the most recent pictures of us kids to put on here. Then I printed off a poem about why we need our parents even though we have gone our own way. It has light behind it to light up the pics.
