Honey Bee's, Bears and Hives!

Making bee hives is all the rage right now for home décor. Of course I jumped on the band wagon. I went to Dollar Tree and bought the nautical rope and flower pot. There is many videos out there showing how to make the hive on YouTube. I got the bees from amazon and the flower buttons from Michaels. I decided the hive needed a bear and I knew where one was at sitting at in my craft room. I sat them on my shelf and then decided since spring is coming, they needed to be among flowers. I went back to Dollar Tree and got the planter and some faux flowers. I arranged the flowers around the hive and bear. I love how it turned out!

Here they are all together. I added some jewels to the planter and ribbon. The ribbon I got from amazon. The plaid fabric I had on hand.

I knew I had the Baby Bear stamp set and decided to make a card to fit in the theme.
.
This bear has his own hive also, isn't he adorable?

Autumn Red Truck for the season

Everyone is still into the Red Truck Christmas theme for Christmas and some have started doing an Autumn theme. I even jumped on and check out this Autumn Red Truck for this season. I added tail lights and lights in the bed of the truck. If you are wanting to create one yourself, just go here to see the youtube video I followed.

Day 4 of Day of the Dead/Sugar Skull Wreaths

This wreath is Black and Red for my cousin. She is dressing up as a Day of the Dead Senorita and she wanted hers to match the black and red outfit she is wearing. She loved it! (sorry for the picture not being better. I had no more room to hang my wreaths :))

This is the last picture of my wreaths, most have sold and picked up. Sorry I did not get them taken but I will be showing other Halloween items till Halloween.

Halloween Wreaths

I have an upcoming craft fair and so I have been busy now creating wreaths for Halloween. The theme for around our area is the Day of the Dead. There are Sugar Skulls everywhere! I buy all my product from the Dollar Tree and Dollar General when ever I can, when I can not, I get them from Joann's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby or online stores.
From now till Halloween, I will be posting my wreaths. I sell them for $30.00.

Rustic Ornaments with a Stampin' Up! flair

I had some of the Candlelight Christmas fabric left over and thought they had a rustic feel to them so I made some ornaments. The first is quite easy. Just wrap the fabric around a 3" foam ball and tie a piece of jute around and then add a jute hanger with hot glue and your done. The other one, I took a ribbon spool to make the ornament. I cut the fabric into 1" wide and 4" long strips and tied them to the spool. When I was done I trimmed up the long ends to be more uniform and added a jute hanger to it also. Isn't it gorgeous! I am going to have to buy some more if I can find it.

Autumn/Fall

While surfing on pinterest I came across some Card Candy. I thought I would try my hand at it. Since I was in a fall swap, I felt this would be a good opportunity. So here is my Fall/Autumn card candy. I thought for my first try, it was not bad:)

Origami Box

A while back I posted a video of this box from Card-Making-Magic. Here is mine, it was actually a lot easier than it looked. This was another item for the fall swap. I thought this would fit the berries theme. The color reminded me of strawberries and cream.

Sorry I can not remember what all I used. It was left over items from my stash.

Dress Form Mannequin pin cushion

I saw this on DIY-DISH and just fell in love with it. I plan on making some more for family and friends that sew this year as Christmas gifts. This was the first one I made. I used some paisly fabric, green crossgrain ribbon, added a black pearl in the center, some green beads for a neclace and a flower. As soon as I find candlestick holders I will be adding them. Click on the DIY-DISH above and check out these two twin sisters video.
After I made this one I thought of Sarah Hamer aka Pink Cricut. I beleive she would love to have one for her craft room:) See the pink purse ( not the best pic), I transformed in into this pin cushion. I bought 4 of them at target for $1.00. It took three to make it. I tore them apart for this and used one of the handles for the belt, then added some bling and feathers, now to find the perfect candlestick for this and all will be complete.

Do you like how the dress forms GLIMMER. I found out my Nikon D60 has a filter feature. I chose the cross function and this is what it does. It makes your pics POP!

Link Up Party at the Pink Cricut!

I made a calendar book for a Christmas gift. I learned this at an expo and thought this would make a really good gift.
Go to Pink Cricuts website and see what the other crafty ladies are showcasing!

TFL~
I used the cuttlebug Diamond in the Rough under the bow and Tim Holtz ink to show the diamonds and added some bling. I used my BIA to bound the book. TFL~
