Challenge #151 Lemonade For Sale at Kenny K'sKrafty Krew

The theme for this fortnight Challenge is:

Lemonade For Sale

with a Photo Inspiration

Here is my take on this, I chose Kenny Fun Faerie. I used Spectrum Noir pens on her. The background is a picture I found on the internet. I uploaded to power point and used the wordart for the month (April). I am in the process of making a Kenny K Kalendar with the images I have bought. So be on the lookout for more to come:) Hope you like it and TFL:))

Origami Box

A while back I posted a video of this box from Card-Making-Magic. Here is mine, it was actually a lot easier than it looked. This was another item for the fall swap. I thought this would fit the berries theme. The color reminded me of strawberries and cream.

Sorry I can not remember what all I used. It was left over items from my stash.

Spectrum Noir

Awhile back I bought Spectrum Noir alcohol pens. Since then I have been learning how to use them. Once I was confident that I was using them properly, I took Spectrum Noir's colorist test.

Skills required for Colorist Level
  1. Smooth coloring – coloring an area smooth without blotchiness
  2. Basic shading – blending three colors together to build volume or dimension to your image.
  3. Basic coloring of a face and hair. (hair can be smooth or textured)
  4. Basic coloring of a floral or landscape image.
  5. Palette blending.
  6. Layering – ability to add a bit of shadow or shading to show layers.
  7. Correcting with the blender pen.
  8. Skills that show basic ability to get consistent results using the Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens.

Here is what I colored.

If you look closely you can see that the flower pot has some bleeding around the edges.
I really enjoyed learning the Palette blending.

The couple I colored did not turn out well at all:(
The couple is a CTMH stamped image.
The colorist instructor said all passed but the flower pot and the couple. She asked me to resubmit.

Here is my resubmissions.

These turned out much better.

Today I received my certificate that I passed!

I am now a Spectrum Noir Accredited Colorist!!

This means I have accomplished in learning basic coloring techniques using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

There is two more levels:
Advanced Colorist & Spectrum Noir Pen Instructor

In time I hope to achieve the advanced colorist level, I am not sure about becoming an Instructor but only time will tell:)
To learn more about Spectrum Noir click here. They have amazing videos, techniques, tutorials and so much more.

Challenge # 138 Easel Cards

Since I am at home for two weeks or more, with severe arthritis in my knee...I figured might as well try to work on some scrapping. I have been wanting to try my hand at some digital stamps and coloring them. I just got the Spectrum Noir markers a few months ago and now I am giving it a go.

Now what digital stamp? Awhile back I found Kenny K's Krafty Krew and I have been hooked ever since. I bought a bunch of his digi's now I get to give it a whirl.

So I took the time to enter this challenge. This weeks challenge is easel cards. I searched the web and found this tutorial at Card Making Magic, a Quad Easel. She has a lot of card making written and video tutorials and other crafty ideas. Go check her out:)
Hope you enjoy and please be easy on me, this is my first time at coloring an image. I think I did okay.

I used Paige Parasol for this and her pics are near the bottom:
Sentiment wobbles...see the action!

Some gears from Tim Holtz, Copper sheet embossed  using provocraft clockworks embossing folder  & gems from Walmart-Martha Stewart.

Sentiment found on internet. I just love Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory so this sentiment fits the Steampunk theme. Pearl beads from?

Here is Paige!! Recipe for her is last pic.

Steampunk heart from Jolee's and other jewel from?

Here it is closed up. Blue cardstock from DCWV solid stack, copper sheet from Walmart brand, Steampunk sheets- diamond sheet and collage from Hot off the Press.

Here it is opened up.
