It has been a while since I did a sampler and with winter finally over...I am so READY for spring!
Butterflies are my favorite insects, I have a butterfly garden out front of my house and the last few years I have been adding to it. I just need to get some butterfly boxes, a milkweed plant and some nectar for them to eat. It was so exciting to see the butterflies starting to come back in our area.
Here is closeups of each piece.
I had some black ribbon from the Holiday catalog left over and used it on this piece. Looks elegant with the butterflies.
Here I used the sentiment on a side banner flag.
For this one I used a piece of the Rich Razzelberry Velvet ribbon to add an accent piece.
I used another sentiment from the stamp set along with the Tailored Tag punch.
I tied a bow using the Geared Up Garage ribbon for the body of this butterfly and punched the butterfly out with the Butterfly duet punch. I then curled the wings to make it seem like it will flutter away!
This one I left as black and white and added a piece of the Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green reversible ribbon for accenting, it also could be used as an awareness ribbon.
This one I left as is because it is just beautiful alone:)
I used the butterfly punch again and added these two butterflies to the dsp.
For this black and white piece I added a piece of the Very Vanilla dotted ribbon along with some of the small punched butterflies.
I used a 12 x 12 piece of Whisper White cardstock
and then each square consisted of:
- 3 x 3 Basic Black
- 2 3/4 Stitched square out of the Gingham Gala
- 2 1/2 inch of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper
- The frame from a local craft store that is going out of sale, but you can get any 12 x 12 frame from any craft store (Joann's, Micheal's, Hobby Lobby and use the coupons to save even more)
Get these while you can, only a few days left for the
