Painted Poppies Samplers

I belong to a Facebook group, Fully Visible, and I started up a sampler swap. Each month whoever wishes to join in we create sampler pieces, they then mail to me and then I redistribute them so each person is able to create a sampler. The first sampler is Painted Poppies being used. The card base is Poppy Parade, second layer any dsp or cardstock and then finally any elements you wish to use.

My first piece I created a shaker using the domes from the Christmas catalog. I used the Peaceful Poppies Elements to create my pieces.

This piece I also used vellum cardstock to soften the background and it is a simple piece.

This piece I left the flower and leaf plain so each person could watercolor their flower and leaf the way the wanted it to be. If you look closely you will see that they are embossed with clear embossing.

These beauties' designed by Chris Schroder who is our Fully Visible Admin. These spell out Happiness. Now that is thinking out of the box! (the first says Hap but it is upside down, I did not realize it when I took the picture. Lol!) Chris use a multiple of items here. She used an embossing folder, heat embossing, stitched dies and gold pearls. 

These next set of beauties are from Denise Will. She used punches, dies and blend markers to create her pieces. These are beautiful!

I forgot to take pictures of Pam's but hers is the top right corner and bottom right corner on this sampler she created.

Love how each of us created it our samplers and each one is unique. Chris Schroeder will create hers when she can. Due to Covid-19 lockdown nothing is going out of the USA except for essentials. When she does I will post an update on hers.

Honey Bee's, Bears and Hives!

Making bee hives is all the rage right now for home décor. Of course I jumped on the band wagon. I went to Dollar Tree and bought the nautical rope and flower pot. There is many videos out there showing how to make the hive on YouTube. I got the bees from amazon and the flower buttons from Michaels. I decided the hive needed a bear and I knew where one was at sitting at in my craft room. I sat them on my shelf and then decided since spring is coming, they needed to be among flowers. I went back to Dollar Tree and got the planter and some faux flowers. I arranged the flowers around the hive and bear. I love how it turned out!

Here they are all together. I added some jewels to the planter and ribbon. The ribbon I got from amazon. The plaid fabric I had on hand.

I knew I had the Baby Bear stamp set and decided to make a card to fit in the theme.

Peaceful Poppies Collage/Sampler

 I belong to an amazing group on Facebook, Fully Visible. This group is demonstrators supporting each other by weekly commenting on each others posts. There is 14 groups and each group has 5 demos in them. We have a rotation we follow to know whos page to comment on that week. To further this engagement, I started a collage/sampler swap. This past month it is the Peaceful Poppies. They were to use Poppy Parade as the base color then the second layer could be dsp or cardstock of choice and then add your elements. These elements can be anything from die cuts, embossing, water coloring or etc. There was 4 of us in this swap.

Click on their names to see if they have posted their Collage/Sampler on their page. The middle row is from Chris and she took the word "happiness" and broke it down into three's to create her items. I thought that was quite clever.

I loved how each of these pieces turned out! The background is SOOO pretty! 

Next up is this gorgeous card made by Pamela Berry. She wrote a very thoughtful note inside and she will also be participating in the next collage/sampler swap.

This card I made at onstage, this uses the tone on tone stamping and coloring of the ribbon.
